Nash Aguas Leads ABS-CBN's Boyband Gimme5, Debut Album Launched

STAR RECORDS launched the debut album of ABS-CBN’s newest boyband, Gimme5. The group is led by Nash Aguas and the members are Joaquin Lucas Reyes, John Immanuel Bermundo, Grae Fernandez and Brace Henry Arquiza. Introduced in ASAP almost a year ago, they’re now all part of Nash’s launching teleserye, “Bagito”.

Nash is the eldest member since he turned 16 on Oct. 10. The youngest is Grae Fernandez, the eldest son of Mark Anthony Fernandez and wife Melissa who just turned 13 on Nov. 7. Joaquin, who appeared as the young Enchong Dee in “Muling Buksan ang Puso”, turned 14 on Oct. 28. John, the young Jason Abalos in “Maria Mercedes”, will be 14 on December 24 while Brace, whose family won in the ASAP Supah Dance Contest, will be 14 on December 12.

They were trained in voice and harmony before doing their album, which has six songs: “Hatid Sundo” (the catchy first single), “Pag Kasama Ko”, “Aking Prinsesa”, “Hey Girl”, “Growing Up”, “Ikaw Na Na Na”, plus its minus one versions. It’s now available at record bars nationwide for only P199. It quickly climbed to no. 2 in the charts, OPM Category, of Astrovision.

We ask Nash to describe his companions. “Si John, pinakamabait. Si Joaquin, chill lang, malambing. Si Brace, mahilig sa chicks. Si Grae, sobrang makulit.”

Here’s Joaquin on the rest: “Si Nash, nakasundo ko agad dahil sa gitara. Si John, mabait pero walang sekreto. Si Brace, bolero. Si Grae, makulit.”

John on the rest: “Si Joaquin, cool, masarap kasama. Si Nash, Kuya namin, tagapayo kasi nauna siya sa showbiz. Si Brace, mabait pero nambobola. Si Grae, sobrang likot, mahilig mag-magic.”

Brace on the rest: “Si Joaquin, makulit. Si John, di marunong magtago ng sekreto. Si Nash talaga ang Kuya namin. Si Grae, makulit.”

Grae on the rest: “Si Joaquin, lapitin ng chicks. Si John , sobrang bait. Si Nash, pag trabaho, seryosong-seryoso. Si Brace, mahilig mang-asar.”
