Teen Actor Gets Biggest Break Playing The Title Role In 'Bagito'

TEEN ACTOR Nash Aguas gets his biggest break in playing the title role of “Bagito”, the story of a boy who becomes a dad at the very young age of 14. Based on the hit Wattpad series of Noreen Capili, it started airing last night at 6 PM. Earlier, “Dream Dad” was announced to be airing on that slot, but management decided to pur “Bagito” there and “Dream Dad” will be replacing “Hawak Kamay” next week.

Nash won the Star Circle Quest for Kids in 2004 when he was 6 years old and was quickly included in “Goin’ Bulilit”. He turned 16 last Oct. 10. In “Bagito”, he plays Drew, the batang ama who suddenly faces new responsibilities in life. Is he ready to leave his childhood behind and face the difficulties of being a young father? How will Drew’s parents, played by Angel Aquino and Ariel Rivera (actually he’s stepdad) help and guide him as he faces an entirely new world?

Nash is paired with his ka-love team, Alexa Ilacad, who plays his childhood sweetheart who went abroad. They’re supported by Kapamilya teen star Ella Cruz as Vanessa, the older girl Nash gets pregnant after a drunken one night stand. Also in the cast are Agot Isidro as Alexa’s mom and the members of the rising boy group Gimme 5 Paolo Santiago (son of Sherilyn Tan and Reilly Santiago) Joaquin Reyes, John Bermundo, Grae Fernandez (son of Mark Anthony Fernandez who doesn’t look like him) and Brace Arquia. The press previewed the first week episodes and Nash is really good in the title role.

It is directed by Onat Diaz and Jojo Saguin. Aside from “Bagito,” other books written by best-selling author Noreen include “Parang Kayo Pero Hindi” and “Buti Pa Ang Roma May Bagong Papa.” She is also one of the writers of hit Dreamscape teleseryes like “Walang Hanggan,” “Mirabella,” “My Binondo Girl,” “Katorse,” and “Aryana.” “Bagito” is under the production of Dreamscape Entertainment Television, the group that created top-rating TV masterpieces such as “Walang Hanggan,” “Ina Kapatid Anak,” “Juan dela Cruz,” and “Ikaw Lamang.”Don’t miss the beginning of the newest drama series that will awaken the hearts and minds of the youth, “Bagito,” this Monday on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.
