MIGUEL TANFELIX and Bianca Umali’s teen love team quickly gained lots of fans with their exposure in the hit primetime show, “Nino”.They’ll now be back in “Once Upon a Kiss” which aims to show the sweet feeling of being awakened with a kiss.
“We’re very thankful to GMA-7 for trusting us with another big project like this,”says Miguel. “Actually, our fans can still watch us in ‘Ismol Family’ but every Saturday lang yun. Gusto raw nila, araw-araw uli kaming mapanood on primetime kaya heto, pinagbigyan sila ng GMA with ‘Once Upon a Kiss’.”
Bianca, on the other hand, is very happy to be reunited with Miguel on primetime. “Happy talaga ako kasi sobrang komportable ako na si Miguel ang kasama ko. Maganda na ang rapport namin kaya walang kahirap-hirap. At very thankful kami ni Miguel dahil hindi kami nawawalan ng opportunity na i-prove ang sarili namin sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa loveteam namin.”
Though they are both confident working with one another, Miguel and Bianca confessed that they feel pressured to be working with respected TV actors in “Once Upon A Kiss.” “Hindi po maaalis yung pressure kasi first time naming makakatrabaho yung mga cast members,” says Bianca.
In the story, Miguel plays the role of Prince Pelaez while Bianca portrays the character of Ella Rodrigo. Supporting them are Michael de Mesa, Cris Villanueva, Marielle Pamintuan and Tessie Tomas as members of the Pelaez Family and Manilyn Reynes, Kempee de Leon and Miss Nova Villa.
The show also marks the comeback to the Kapuso Network of Mylene Dizon who is the main villain in “Once Upon A Kiss.” Also supporting them are Al Tantay, Maricar de Mesa, Frank Magalona, Betong Sumaya, Sabrina Man, Miggy Jimenez, Cai Cortez and Gabby Eigenmann as Father Philip Madasalin, the guidance counselor in Prince’s school who will teach and impart good values to Prince.
Directed by Joyce Bernal, “Once Upon A Kiss” is a feel good drama that shows how love can bridge gap between people whatever social class and background a person may come from, rich or poor. It is another original creation of the GMA Drama group under the supervision of Senior VP for Entertainment TV Lilybeth G. Rasonable; VP for Drama Redgie A.
