Why The Ex And Current Loves Of A Singer-Actor Remain Good Friends With Each Other

SOME BASHERS won’t leave Regine Velasquez alone and say her claimed close friendship with her husband Ogie Alcasid’s first wife, Michelle Van Eimeren, is just put on or “pakitang tao.” When Michelle became a guest in Regine’s show, “Sarap Diva”, she defended Regine against their haters. Michelle is now married to an Aussie, Mark Morrow, and they live in Sidney, Australia, but she recently came to town for a vacation. Even if she’s been away from the Philippines for some time now, she still speaks Tagalog like a native.

“Pag may nagsasabing hindi kami ni Regine totoong magkaibigan, inis na lang ako,” she said. “Kasi talagang napakamabait na tao si Regine. She’s tunay. Yung mga laging kasama sa kanya, alam na ‘yan, pati yung mga fans niya, alam na mabait siya. She would do anything to help other people. Alam ko naman, ang ibang tao dito, hindi nila makita 'yon, pero it’s not my problem. Kung ayaw nyo maniniwala na close kami, e, di problema nyo 'yon. Ako kasi, family ko ‘to, e, and she’s very important to me, and I like having her in my life.”

Regine herself just ignores her bashers. After all, everything is doing well in her life. She feels so lucky to have Ogie as her husband and aside from “Sarap Diva”, she’s happy that the reality talent search she’s hosting, “Bet ng Bayan”, is also doing very well in the ratings game.
