“I’m so happy maraming nakagusto sa performance ko,” he says. “I was quite nervous during the press preview but after it, everyone congratulated me and the feedback was so great kaya tuwang-tuwa talaga ako.”
Will he be with his son Austin this holiday season? “No, he and his mom are now back in Dubai, where they are based. But okay lang kasi we were together for one week nang mag-birthday ako last December 7. But I’m one hoping we will have a future Christmas na kami naman ang magkasama. I will be with my parents ngayong Pasko. Actually, I’ll be working kasi nga may entry akong ‘English Only, Please’ sa current Metro filmfest. I’m also required to attend the filmfest awards night on Saturday sa PICC then trabaho pa rin ako sa New Year’s Eve for the TV5 Countdown at Quezon City Memorial Circle. Then I’ve started taping for two new shows, the sitcom ‘Mac & Chiz’ with Empoy Marquez and Bianca King, then the reality show ‘Extreme Challenge, Kaya Mo Ba ‘To?’ with the finalists of our Amazing Race Philippines which will require us to do some travelinbg. Then I have a movie that I’ll be starting in January na isu-shoot ko for Direk Toto Natividad about a killer crocodile. This is for Star Cinema and I’m glad to be working with them again. Sana talaga, matuloy.”
He’s so busy with work he seems to have no time for love. “Malas yata ako dun, e. I’m so blessed with work and with so many things in my life. But I guess, my downfall, my weakness is I can’t seem to find the right girl. I don’t know. It will come. Darating ‘yung tamang babae para sa akin and when that day comes, I’ll be the happiest person.”
