Director Erik Matti Patches Things Up With Lovi Poe, Says Lovi's Replacement Hanna Ledesma Did A Really Good Job In 'Kubot'

DIRECTOR ERIK MATTI was conciliatory at the presscon of “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2” when asked about his grudge against Lovi Poe who refused to reprise her role as Dingdong Dantes’ wife in the movie.

“Everything I wanted to say about the matter, nasabi ko na sa Facebook account ko, so tama na yun,” he says. “And I’m so satisfied naman with the replacement we got, beauty queen Hanna Ledesma, who did a great job. Dati nagpa-panic kami. Baka hindi namin matapos ang movie kasi ayaw nga mag-shoot ni Lovi. But now, tapos na ang movie, eve­ryone’s happy, So, Merry Christmas everyone.”

Hanna is very happy to get the role of Sonia, Dingdong’s wife. “Marami po akong natutu­han from Direk Erik, also from Dingdong. First movie ko po ito at very grateful akong naging part ako ng ganito kagandang production. I’m also happy na first movie ko pa lang, entry agad sa Metro Manila Filmfest.”


“Abangan ninyo ang opening sequence ng movie,” says Direk Erik. “Mahabang-mahaba yun showing Dingdong and Hanna leaving Pulupandan, where they encountered the aswangs led by Roi Vinzon. Buntis si Hanna rito as Sonia at kasama nila ang baby, they will encounter a new clan of aswangs, the Kubot. Newcomer si Hanna but she did so well in her first acting job.”
