Kapuso Stars Carla Abellana & Lovi Poe Are Guests In ABS-CBN To Promote 'Shake Rattle & Roll 15'

CARLA ABELLANA is excited about Christmas, not only because she has an entry in the coming Metro Filmfest, “Shake Rattle & Roll 15”, but also she’s looking forward to her annual Yuletide reunion with her family. “Tradition na kasi that we always celebrate it sa house ng Lola ko (former actress Delia Razon) with all our relatives,” she says. “Potluck yun na kanya-kanyang luto. We eat together, take pictures and then we open gifts. But before all that, we all attend mass before dinner. Masaya and I’m super excited kasi Christmas is my favorite time of the year.”

Everyone thought Tom Rodriguez was going with her and her mom to Sydney to watch Katy Perry’s concert down under. “Yun ang iniisip ng lahat but, no, kasi bising-busy si Tom. Dalawa ang movies niya sa filmfest, e. May game show pa siyang ‘Don’t Lose the Money’ so Malabo siyang makaalis.”

So both of them will be joining the Parade of Stars for the filmfest? “Yes, pero magkaiba naman kami ng floats. I will be with Dennis Trillo na siyang kapareha ko sa ‘Ulam’ episode ng ‘Shake 15.’ Excited ako with this kasi scary talaga siya. Ang galing ng director naming si Jerrold Tarog who previously directed me sa ‘Funeraria’ episode ng ‘Shake 13’, for which I won a best actress award. Dito, he shows me turning into a lizard at si Dennis naman, turning into a dog. Abangan nyo dahil matatakot talaga kayo kasi may pagka-pscyhological ang approach niya.”

Carla and Lovi Poe are glad that GMA-7 allowed them to promote “Shake 15” at ABS-CBN’s “The Buzz” last Sunday and they were interviewed by Kris Aquino and Toni Gonzaga. “Regal naman ang producer ng ‘Shake 15’ at hindi GMA Films kaya pinayagan kaming mag-promote,” says Carla.

It was in their guesting that Lovi was asked how she feels that Direk Erik Matti maligned her in Facebook after she chose not to do “Kubot: Aswang Chronicles”. “I’ve moved on already,” she replied. “I just wish him well this Christmas.”

No doubt Lovi’s conciliatory move should kindle similarly positive thoughts in Direk Erik whose “Kubot” filmfest entry will have its presscon today at GMA Network.


KIKO ESTRADA & KIM RODRIGUEZ SO SWEET TO EACH OTHER BUT CONTINUE TO DENY GOING STEADY


KIKO ESTRADA feels so happy about the very favourable feedback he got from a recent episode of “Magpakailanman”. He played a young man who goes to bed with an older gay man, Michael de Mesa, who turned out to be his father. All those who wrote about it were amazed at how effectively he handled all his dramatic scenes.

“Nakakatuwa talagang maraming nagkagusto sa episode na yun at sa acting ko,” he says. “It inspires me para lalong mas pagbutihin ang trabaho ko.”

He’s currently linked to Kim Rodriguez as they’re so sweet on the set of “Strawberry Lane” but both he and Kim swear they are just the best of friends. “Matagal na ang friendship namin na nagsimula when we were still doing ‘Tween Hearts’ almost three years ago.”

This week in “Strawberry Lane”, Kiko as Paulino rescues Kim as Jack from an evil taxi driver who wants to kidnap her. TJ Trinidad as Jonathan helps them and takes them home. Jay Manalo as Christopher tries to kill Sunshine Dizon as Elaine, who discovers from a CCTV camera that he was the one who tries to kill Tanya Garcia as Stella. But Sunshine gets away with the help of Joyce Ching as Amelia. Because of this Kim, Bea Binene as Clarissa and Joanna Marie Tan as Lupe forgives the scheming Joyce for sowing strife among them. Jay’s getaway car explodes and everyone thinks he’s dead. Sheryl Cruz as his wife Monique is so mad because of this and blames her sister Sunshine. But Jay turns up alive and tells Sheryl that they should plan their revenge against Sunshine, Bea, Kim and Joanna who they intend to kill.
