Pauleen Luna Says Working With BF Vic Sotto In 'My Big Bossing' Is An Eye-Opener

IN LOCAL SHOWBIZ, there’s only one actor addressed as Bossing and it’s no one else but Vic Sotto, one of the country’s most popular and timeless stars both on TV and the big screen. His Metro filmfest entries are perennial topgrossers, from the “Enteng Kabisote” franchise, to superheroes like “Lastikman” and “Fantastic Man”. Last year, he did “My Little Bossings” with Ryzza Mae Dizon and Bimby Yap, another topgrosser. This year, he has “My Big Bossing” and once again, it has the looks of another monster hit, one of the biggest entries in the MMFF as it’s a trilogy with three first-rate film directors. Produced by Octoarts, M-Zet and APT Entertainment, it has the biggest budget in the MMFF race, with a powerhouse cast led by Marian Rivera, Nikki Gil, Pauleen Luna, child star Ryzza Mae Dizon, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Manilyn Reynes, Niño Muhlach and his child wonder son, Alonzo Muhlach. The three stories— “Sirena,” “Taktak” and “Prinsesa”—are helmed by Tony Y. Reyes, Marlon N. Rivera and Bb. Joyce Bernal.

Only Vic and Ryzza appear in all the three episodes. “Bawat episode, ang budget, pang-isang full length movie na,” says Vic. “Hindi tinipid ito. Ginastusan sa costumes, sa production design, sa special effects. Happy naman kami sa kinalabasan ng movie dahil it will really cater to the whole family, to viewers of all ages.”But he doesn’t one to conclude that they’ll be number one at the tills. “Hindi ko iniisip yun, e. More than anything else, ang importante sa’kin, yung magustuhan at masiyahan ang moviegoers. Bonus na kapag nag-number one kami sa takilya.”

How is it working with his lady love, Pauleen Luna, in this movie? “Wala namang problema kasi araw-araw kaming magkasama sa ‘Eat Bulaga’. Pero hindi kami magkapareha rito, ha. Kontrabida siya kay Ryzza sa ‘Sirena’ episode.”Pauleen says working with Vic in this movie is an eye-opener for her. “Dito ko na-realize na mahal siya talaga ng mga katrabaho niya kasi mahusay siyang makisama lahat, mula sa crew hanggang sa co-stars niya. He’s kind and friendly to everyone.”
