TV5 Is The First Network To Host A Christmas Party For The Press

THE KAPATID NETWORK, TV5, also known as the Happy Network, is the first one to host a Christmas party for the press at Elements Centris last Wednesday night. Last year, they did not hold any Christmas party because of Yolanda. This time, their PR head Peachy Vibal Guioguio said they have much to be thankful for as 2014 had been a really good year for them and they expect 2015 to be even better with their Happy New Shows. “It will be a year of the Happier Pinoy,” says Peachy. “We’ll have programs with Happy vibes to make viewers smile and feel more alive. We’ll have sitcoms aimed to make viewers laugh, like “Mac & Chiz” with Derek Ramsay and “No Harm No Foul” with Ogie Diaz, Ritz Azul, Sophie Albert, Valeen Montenegro and PBA top cagers trying acting for the first time.”

Ogie Alcasid hosted the opening of the Christmas program and TV5 stars like Ritz, Mark Neumann, Akihiro Blanco and other Artista Academy discoveries did musical numbers. Also present were the Juan Direction guys and the finalists of “The Amazing Race Philippines 2”. They raffled off many prizes, including cash, paid tribute to press people who have departed (Ernie Pecho, Mar D’Guzman Cruz, Ernie Enrile and Monching Jaramillo) and handed out Kapatid Katuwaan Awards to some writers like the Amazing Race Award to Bong de Leon for always bein an early bird in presscons, the Talentadong Pinoy award to Rey Pumaloy, Trenderas Fashionista Award to Emmy Abuan, Mali-mali Award to Letty Celi (who also won P20,000 cash), Newsmaker of the Year award to Mercy Lejarde and Mr. Congeniality to Glenn Sibonga. Everyone actually won some cash and for that, the press wants to thank TV5.
