After Being Bashed In Social Media, Ai Ai De Las Alas Refuses To Talk Anymore About Younger Boyfriend

AI AI DE LAS ALAS welcomes the new year with a madcap Valentine concert at the Solaire Theatre on February 12, with Richard Yap as her special guest. “This will be my first concert for 2015, then I will have a bigger 25th anniversary and birthday concert sa MOA Arena in November,” she says. “Sa shows na ito, you will see the best of Ai Ai. Back to basics sa akin ito in entertaining people. Lahat ng manonood dito, uuwing masaya at may ngiti sa labi. Makakasama ko rin dito ang mga beking sina Rommel Chika at Beki Belo.”

She’s optimistic that 2015 will also be the breakout year for her son Sancho Vito now that he has signed a contract with GMA Artist Center. “I didn’t pull any strings for him, huh. He himself auditioned with them at nakuha siya on his own. Noon pa niya gusto mag-showbiz, pero sabi ko, magtapos muna siya ng pag-aaral. Now that may degree na siya in culinary arts, okay na. Pwede rin siya mag-comedy, but I also want him to do a teleserye kasi magaling siyang umarte sa drama. Maganda siya umiyak, tumutulo lang ang luha. Hindi gaya ko, nalulukot ang mukha.”

How did she feel when Kris Aquino patched things up with her recently? “Okay, maganda yung nag-start ang taon na wala kang kagalit. Yung binigay niyang kuwintas with Mama Mary, ayun, inilagay ko kay Mama Mary sa bahay.”

So any new TV shows or movies for her? “Wala pa. Pinaplano pa ang lahat. But definitely, for this year, gusto kong magkaroon ako ng entry uli sa Metro-Manila Filmfest, kahit na ako mismo ang mag-produce. Also, magiging busy pala ako sa project ni Vice Pres. Jojo Binay, Kilos Kaayusan, which we will launch on January 24. Abangan nyo yan kasi magandang project yan para sa bayan.”

She doesn’t want to talk anymore about BF Gerald Sibayan. “Tama na, huwag na, very private yung tao. Tumigil na nga ako sa social media para manahimik na lang kami, e. Although bumalik pala ko ngayon kasi pina-plug ko ang Valentine concert ko. After that, quiet na uli ako sa social media.”

Does her kids accept her BF? “Oo naman. Never akong nagtago o nagsinungaling sa mga anak ko, kasi ayoko ring magtago sila o magsinungaling sa akin. Happy sila na nakikitang happy ako.”
