“We were saying our prayers before going to bed when she said, ‘Papa Jesus, please give me a baby sister and baby brother’, kaya muntik na akong mahulog sa higaan,” she laughs. “I told her I have to find a husband first. E, ni wala nga akong boyfriend.”
After her liaison with Cedric Lee (Ceana’s dad), she isolated herself and didn’t entertain new suitors. “But now, I’m starting to go out on dates again. Nothing serious yet. I want to get to know the guys better first. But I can feel that I’m now ready to get into a new relationship kasi six years ago pa yung last ko. I feel I’m now more emotionally ready, so gusto ko na ring may makilalang Mr. Right.”
Robin Padilla was very vocal in saying that he’s interested to make her one of his wives since he’s a Muslim. “Robin and I have really become good friends again but, honestly, hindi ko maiisip to be his partner. I’m really happy for him kung anuman ‘yung nangyayari sa buhay n’ya ngayon and I think, he should stay that way. Like I said, ayoko nung may kasosyo ako. Mahirap din for me humanap kasi I’m a single mom so it would be tough. I just pray that whoever will come along is given to me by God at mamahalin niya hindi lang ako but also my daughter.”
Vina is just thankful that her career is still doing well. 2014 ended with a movie, “Bonifacio”, and 2015 started with a new soap, “Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita”, where , she plays Cecilia Macaraeg Natividad, the loving wife of Christian Vasquez and doting mom of their daughters, Corinne and Bea, played by Jane Oineza and Loisa Andalio. Their peaceful homelife is wrecked when Christian falls for Denise Roldan as Toni. “I find my role very challenging as it was originally portrayed by Susan Roces in the movie version. Nakaka-pressure kasi ang galing-galing ni Tita Susan. I’m just hoping with the help of Direk Jeffrey Jeturian, mabigyan ko ng justice ang role ko as Cecilia in this new show.”
