ALICE DIXSON admits she currently has offers to move to another network now that her contract with TV5 will expire next month. “I’m supposed to meet with Ma’am Wilma Galvante this month so we can talk about it,” she says. “Pero I’ve already started taping for a new sitcom for them, ‘2 ½ Daddies’, with the Padilla Brothers that starts airing this Saturday at 7 PM.”
What’s her role? “Childhood sweethearts kami ni Rustom Padilla noong lalaki pa siya, but then, he went abroad at pagbalik niya, girl na siya. No, hindi pala, transgender na siya, that’s what he wants to be called, si BB Gandanghari na siya. Naging love interest naman ako ni Robin.”
So how’s it working with the Padilla Brothers? “Nagsisimula pa lang kami mag-taping so hindi pa kami nagje-jell nang husto. But so far, masaya naman kami sa set. They’re not hard to get along with. I play a fashion editor here at si Robin naman owns a boarding house na maraming sexy boarders. Then someone leaves a baby on their doorstep kaya naging 2 ½ daddies silang tatlo. Kami ni Rustom did a movie then with Viva, ‘Sana Dalawa ang Puso Ko’, so magkakilala na kami talaga. But now that he’s BB na, marami akong bagong questions na gustong itanong sa kanya.”
So there’s a great possibility of her staying with TV5? “Yes, kasi hindi naman nila ako pinababayaan. Lagi akong may show with them. Everything is still under negotiation, but I’m sure maaayos naman ang lahat.”
She cut her hair very short and it becomes her. She’s also very tanned. “I go to the beach a lot kasi. I intend to write a book this year kasi ang daming nagtatanong how I keep fit, so I will write na lang a book with all my beauty secrets and my exercise program.”
She just did two movies: as the mom of Erich Gonzalez in “Shake Rattle & Roll 15” and as a teacher in “#ewankosau, saranghaeyo” that opens in theaters this Wednesday. “They’re just short roles. But I just got a call from Viva for a new movie. Sana matuloy after I did ‘When the Love is Gone’ with them the other year for which I got positive reviews.”
