Angelica Panganiban Wants A Simple Wedding Proposal From John Lloyd

AFTER MUCH SPECULATION as to whether he’ll jump over the bakod or not, John Lloyd Cruz finally signed the renewal of his contract with ABS-CBN. He’ll be with them for three more years. Right now, he’s doing the sitcom “Home Sweetie Home”. He’ll be given a new teleserye and will do two new movies that will pair him with Bea Alonzo and Sarah Geronimo, with whom he has done mammoth hits before. “Medyo natagalan ang pagre-renew kasi naging detalyado ang contract, but I’m now really excited with the projects they have lined up for me for the next three years,” he says.

Lloydie dismisses rumors that his relationship with Angelica Panganiban is currently on the rocks. “We just came back from a vacation in the States,” he says. “Nasa New York kami when we got word she won best actress in Gawad Tanglaw and I’m so happy for her.”

At the presscon of “That Thing Called Tadhana”, the movie for which she won best actress, Angelica even declared that she has told Lloydie that if he’d ever propose to her, she prefers it to be simple and private, not like other proposals that are very showy and made in front of so many other people, just like in the case of Dingdong-Marian, Heart-Chiz and John-Isabel.

Angelica and Lloydie both know they’re not each other’s first love. Before Lloydie, Angelica was linked to Carlo Aquino and Derek Ramsay. In the case of Lloydie, his first GF was Kaye Abad during their “Tabing Ilog” days as teeners . He has since been linked to the likes of Ciara Sotto, stylist Liz Uy, Ruffa Gutierrez and Shaina Magdayao, but his biggest movie hits are with Bea Alonzo and Sarah Geronimo, who were never romantically linked with him.
