Coco Martin Now A Certified Hitmaker Because Of Kris Aquino, Will Next Be Paired With Toni Gonzaga

COCO MARTIN is dubbed as King of Primetime Teleserye and it’s true because all his soaps are big hits, like “Juan de la Cruz” and “Ikaw Lamang”. But he wasn’t as lucky on the big screen and his movies with Angeline Quinto, Julia Montes and Sarah Geronimo all didn’t as well as expected. But Kris Aquino has now changed all that. She chose to do “Feng Shui 2” with him as a Metro filmfest entry and it has now earned more than P200 million, making Coco a bonafide hit maker not only the boob tube but also on the silver screen.

Now, it’s said he’ll next be paired with Toni Gonzaga, also certified hit maker herself whether she’s paired with Sam Milby, Vhong Navarro, John Lloyd Cruz or Piolo Pascual. Her “Starting Over Again” with Piolo last year made more than P400 million so they’ll be proclaimed Box Office King and Queen of 2014 soon. Toni is truly one of ABS-CBN’s prized properties. She’s currently co-hosting ‘The Buzz’, she acts in a sitcom ‘Home Sweetie Home’, she sings and hosts in ‘ASAP’, does hit concerts, hit albums, making her a true multi-media star. We haven’t seen her and Coco, though, on screen, so we don’t know if they have good chemistry. But we’re certain Star Cinema will choose a rom-com material for them as this is where Toni really excels. So we can expect that whatever movie she’ll do with Coco will also be a hit, what with the formidable ABS-CBN/ Star Cinema backing them up.
