What’s Marc’s best qualities? “He has a big heart, madaling lapitan kahit ng mga kaibigan. He’s also very patient to us ng two kids namin. Habulin siya ng mga babae but I trust him. Sobrang dami ng fans niya. When we’re in public, siyang pinagkakaguluhan. Hindi ko siya sinasakal. I’m happy with him so I make sure happy rin siya sa akin as my husband. I was instrumental kaya nagkita sila uli ng father niya. We met sa gym, he got my number, at formal na nagpaalam sa daddy ko na manliligaw siya. Everytime I ask him about his father, he keeps quiet. Ayaw pag-usapan. But I was insistent. Sabi ko, ano bang father mo? Sabi sa’kin, French. So nagpatulong ako sa mga auntie ko in Europe who speak French para hanapin ang dad niya sa embassy roon. Hanggang sa na-locate ko at ako mismo ang sumulat to ask kung siya nga ba dad ni Marc. Sumagot agad. Nagpunta rito at nagkita sila ni Marc. Anumang sama ng loob ni Marc through the years, nawala lahat when they met face to face. Nagkita kami uli sa Europe noong Gilas game and si Marc, whenever he’s with his father, parang little boy uli.”
How about her own dad, Vic Sotto, and his new GF Pauleen Luna? “Nakakapanibago noong una kasi halos magka-age lang kami. It’s not an ideal situation kasi nga mas bata siya sa dad ko, but there’s no reason for me not to respect her kasi wala naman siyang ginagawang masama sa’kin, pwera na lang kung may gagawin siyang masasaktan ang daddy ko. I respect her, I respect both of them. Respetuhan lang naman yun.”
How about her sister in law, Kristine Hermosa? “Noong una, hindi kami close. Akala ko, sikat na artista lang siya, but she proved herself as a good wife and mother kaya ngayon, bilib na bilib ako sa kanya. Tatlo na ang anak nila, aged 6, 3 and 2 and a half months, bukod pa sa adopted nilang 8 years old na. Full breastfeeding siya. And there was a time na nawalan sila ng maid, aba, marunong siya maglaba, magluto, maglinis ng bahay. Never ko nakitang magulo o marumi ang bahay nila. You’d never expect na ganun siya. Obvious na enjoy at kontento siya sa pagiging wife and mother, kaya sabi ko kay Oyo, alagaan mo yang misis mo dahil jackpot ka diyan.”
In “Happy Wife, Happy Life”, Danica will handle the cooking segment since she finished culinary arts. She’s actually shown in the pilot episode going to market to buy the ingredients for the dish she’ll prepare. Then her mom, Dina Bonnevie, is shown visiting her as her special guest in this show. “She’s very happy for me. Kasi before, I did comedy sa ‘Daddy Do Du’ and drama sa afternoon soaps. This is the first time I’m seriously doing a hosting job, in which my mom is an expert as Ms D. Ang advice niya sa’kin, listen to your guests. Don’t do all the talking, so I always bear in that mind. I’m really praying magtagal itong ‘Happy Wife Happy Life’ sa ere kasi kami nina LJ, RR and Jeck are really happy doing it together.”
