GMA Artist Center Teen Actor Julian Trono Gets Big Break Being Trained Under The Korean K-Pop System

GMA TEEN ACTOR Julian Trono shone in the Cinemalaya film, “Purok 7”, where he showed his amazing skills as a dancer. He now just proudly signed a contract with JU Entertainment and Music Contents, Inc., a Philippine company with a Korean counterpart, in partnership with GMA Records at the GMA Network Center.

Julian is now officially the first Pinoy celebrity to be trained under the Korean Pop (K-Pop) system. He will undergo intense training schedule, including voice and dance lessons, under experienced Korean instructors. His fans will have another reason to swoon as he tries to take over the music scene with a new project that will be an avenue to harness both Filipino and Korean talents.

Known for giving life to top RnB hits through his choreography, Julian is on his way to a new venture where he will not only be dancing, but will also be the voice behind the song he’s dancing to. The Kapuso star has already recorded the single, and is now shooting the music video. He will be collaborating with a Korean rapper, who’ll come to Manila to shoot the remaining scenes of the video.

Julian is very grateful for this great opportunity even if feels so challenged by the project. “Noong una, I’m not very familiar with K-Pop,” he confesses. “Also, singing is out of his comfort zone. But I accepted their challenge to hone me as a singer and I’m now more than willing to learn more and grow as a performer. Talagang whole new world ito for me, so I did research kasi siyempre kailangan akong maka-relate sa kung anong culture nila in Korea.”
Now, Julian is able to embrace the K-Pop culture, and is enjoying doing the project. “I’m more than familiar with it now and I can say na iba yung quality at efforts na binibigay nila sa mga proyektong ginagawa nila kaya naiintindihan ko na why a lot of Pinoy fans are into K-Pop. Na-enjoy ko na rin siya talaga and this is definitely a welcome development in my career as an entertainer.”
