Jennylyn Mercado On Positive Mode, Good Friends With Fiancee Of Her Ex, Patrick Garcia

JENNYLYN MERCADO wants to thank all those who wrote favourable feedback about her hilarious performance as a lonesome girl looking for love in “English Only, Please”. “Nakakatuwa dahil napatunayan kong kaya ko palang gumawa ng romantic comedy,” she says. “Lately kasi, puro heavy dramas ang ginagawa ko, lalo na sa ‘Rhodora X’ where I played multiple characters na puro iyakan. Kaya I really welcomed ‘English Only, Please’ kasi very light ito at tiyak na matatawa ang audience.”

She’s in a positive mood these days. She has patched things up with Patrick Garcia, the father of her son Alex Jazz with whom she’s not been in good terms for sometime. Patrick is going to wed next year his current partner with whom he already has a daughter. Jennylyn has made peace with them and even agreed to attend their wedding with their son to be the ring bearer. She even posted a photo on instagram showing her and Patrick’s fiancée, along with their children.

She’s currently being linked to Ronald Singson and someone reported that they were seen together having a vacation in Boracay. “It’s not true,” she says. “Ni hindi ko nga kilala si Mr. Singson, paanong magiging kami? Also, I haven’t been to Boracay lately. Baka kamukha ko lang yung nakitang kasama niya at ni-report na agad na ako yung girl. Ang sarap-sarap ng buhay ko ngayong being loveless, ayokong gawing kumplikado uli. Isa pa, busy ako sa trabaho. May movie, may bagong soap. At nagpapagawa rin ako ng bagong house with seven bedrooms kasi marami na kami sa bahay kaya we need a bigger one.”

Her new soap, “Second Chances”, will be one of the first offerings of GMA-7 in the new year. They will have a presscon on January 6 to announce that it will replace “Hiram na Alaala” of her ex, Dennis Trillo. “Balik drama ako rito as a woman who lost her husband, Luis Alandy, and will be torn between Raymart Santiago and Rafael Rosell.”
