Julia Montes Does Her Most Daring & Mature Work In 'Halik Sa Hangin'

JULIA MONTES quickly dismisses at the presscon of her new movie, “Halik sa Hangin”, the rumor that she is preggy. “Natatawa na lang ako sa ganyang tsismis,” she says. “Umalis daw ako ng bansa to hide my pregnancy. Paano kaya mangyayari yun, ni wala akong boyfriend. I think kumalat yang ganyang tsismis kasi hindi ako naging visible after ‘Ikaw Lamang’. Maski sa social media, hindi ako naging masyadong active, so may nag-conclude agad na may itinatago ako. Pero walang ganun. Hindi lang ako talaga mahilig mag-post ng kung ano mga nangyayari sa’kin. But this past month, naging busy nga uli ako shooting ‘Halik sa Hangin’ on location in Baguio with Gerald Anderson, JC De Vera, Ina Raymundo, Edu Manzano and Melissa Mendez, sa direction ni Manny Palo.”

So what did she do while in between work? “Tahimik lang ang buhay. Nag-bonding ako at yung kapatid ko. Hinahatid ko pa siya at sinusundo sa school.”

It’s said she shows a new Julia Montes in the movie as she goes sexy in “Halik sa Hangin”. “Not really naman sexy. Yes, may love scene ako with Gerald, pero kailangan sa story dahil very strong yung love element sa pelikula. Doon talaga tumatakbo ang kuwento sa na-in love ka at ibinigay mo lahat. It’s my most mature role to date at okay naman kasi hindi ako pinabayaan ni Direk Manny Palo. I enjoyed doing the movie with both Gerald and JC kasi pareho silang magaling na actor at inalalayan nila ako in our scenes together.”

In “Halik sa Hangin”, she plays Mia, who is brought to Baguio by her mom after her dad died. In Baguio, she meets two different men. Gerald is Gio, who challenges her to step out of her comfort zone and be more adventurous in life. JC is Alvin, a mature guy who inspires her to open up and welcome new changes in her life. Together, they all figure in a deadly love triangle brought to a new level by an intriguing story of love, passion, seduction and obsession. Don’t miss “Halik sa Hangin” when it opens in theatres nationwide on January 28.
