Miriam Quiambao Happy To Be An Instant Mom With Her Second Marriage

FORMER BB. PILIPINAS Miriam Quiambao is back into acting in “Second Chances”. She plays Alyssa, the personal assistant of top businessman Roi Vinzon’s who’s secretly in love with her boss. This is her comeback soap with GMA-7 after she did “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo” for ABS-CBN and “Bangis” for TV5. “Na-miss ko rin umarte and I’m glad to be back,” she says.

So how’s married life to businessman Ardy Roberto? This is her second marriage after she got divorced from Italian Claudio Rondinelli and it’s also the second marriage of Ardy who’s a widower.

“One year na kami this March,” she says. “I became an instant mom kasi he has a 7-year old son, Joshua, from his first marriage. Bagay nga sa’kin ang title na ‘Second Chances’ as I was really given a second chance after my first marriage. And I can say that I’m happier now as I finally married God’s chosen best for me at meron pa kaming 7-year-old son. Ardy is very understanding and Joshua is a good and obedient child. Challenge din for me to be a mom to a child na hindi naman lumabas from me. But from the start, I made him feel I don’t intend to replace his mom, so we honor his mom by allowing him to keep her memories alive.”

Do they intend to have their own child? “Yes, we’re planning for it. God willing, sana this year kasi late 30’s na ako, e. But I need to lose some weight muna kasi tumaba ako during the holidays. Diet and exercise muna.”

What does she think of the current Bb. Pilipinas representative, Mary Jean Lastimosa, at the Miss Universe Pageant to be held soon in Florida? “I think she’s so beautiful. I met her na, kasi three times siyang sumali sa Bb. Pilipinas pageant before she bagged the title. She’s articulate at malakas ang appeal niya. She carries herself well. But in the end, it all depends on God on whether she’d win or lose so let’s just all pray for her.”
