FORMER CHILD STAR Jane Oineza’s stock was definitely boosted when she became a PBB housemate and emerged as third big winner. Jane started as a TV ad model when she was 4 then quickly became a child actress in “Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan” at 5. She then joined “Goin’ Bulilit” and also did other soaps like “Marina” (as young Claudine Barretto), “Kung Fu Kids”, “Mga Anghel na Walang Langit”, “Ligaw na Bulaklak” and others. She won best actress in a single performance awards for two “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode, “Bimpo” and “Manika”. She’s now launched to stardom in “Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita” as the eldest daughter of Vina Morales. She’s paired with Jerome Ponce but is it true she’s now officially on off cam with cager Jeron Teng?
“No, we’re not on,” she says. “Nanliligaw siya and we’re seeing each other, but he knows naman na priority ko ang career ko. Siya rin naman, he’s also very busy sa kanyang sariling career. So, focus muna kami sa career talaga.”
How about her partner in “Nasaan Ka”, Jerome? “Actually, mas nauna ko pang nakilala si Jerome kaysa kay Jeron. Magka-batch kami sa Star Magic, kaya magkaibigan kami noon pa. Friends lang kami at hindi naman siya nanliligaw sa akin. Pero sana, magustuhan ng mga tao ang love team namin sa show kasi bago pa lang ito. Sana suportahan ng viewers.”
How is it working with Vina Morales as her mom? “Napakagaling po niya sa drama and it’s really great to work with her kasi marami akong natututuhan sa kanya.”
