Sabrina Mann Is Newest GMA Teen Contravida To Bianca Umali & Miguel Tanfelix In 'Once Upon A Kiss'

SABRINA MANN currently plays contravida to Bianca Umali in “Once Upon a Kiss”. As child stars, they both used to be co-hosts of the award-winning children’s show, “Tropang Potchi”. Doesn’t she mind being a villain to Bianca now?

“Okay lang naman po,” she says. “Bata pa ako, gumanap na akong kontrabida as the young Katrina Halili na babaeng ahas, doon sa ‘Darna’ ni Marian Rivera, kaya sanay na rin po ako. Isa pa, yung hitsura at dating ko raw, mas bagay talagang pang-kontrabida kasi matalim yung mga mata ko.”

Of Chinese-Filipino ancestry, she was born in Hongkong and will turn 15 on March 12. She was 7 years old when she won Little Miss Laguna and was quickly cast in her first show on GMA-7, “Luna Mystica”, starring Heart Evangelista. Other soaps she did are “Panday Kids”, “Ina, Kinasusuklaman Ba Kita”, “Bantatay”, “Blusang Itim” and “Alice Bungisngis”. She has also done several movies, like “Shake Rattle Roll 10 and 11”, “Huling Pasada”, “Yaya and Angelina”, “Mano Po 6”, “Super Inday & the Golden Bibe”, “My Househusband” and “Ang Nawawala”.



In “Once Upon a Kiss”, she plays Wendy, the daughter of Maricar de Mesa. “Dati kaming mayaman pero naghirap na, kaya pinipilit ako ng mama ko na paibigin ko si Miguel Tanfelix kasi mayaman ang family nila. Kaso, mas gusto niya si Bianca kaya gagawin ko ang lahat para apihin si Bianca. Pero off cam, magkaibigan po kami ni Bianca kasi ang tagal nga naming nagkasama sa ‘Tropang Potchi’. Alam naman ni Bianca na ginagawa ko lang ang trabaho ko. Bago ko siya tarayan, nagre-rehearse muna kami kaya, after the take, nagtatawanan na lang kami.”

This week in “Once Upon a Kiss”, as a result of the car accident he and Bianca Umali as Ella figured in, Miguel Tanfelix as Prince suffers from internal hemmorhage and fracture, making him comatose. His mom, Mylene Dizon as Giselle, cries a lot and decides to take him to a hospital in Manila for better treatment. Bianca learns about this and secretly visits the comatose Miguel to tell him to wake up again. But Sabrina as Wendy enters and drives her away. Mylene and her dad Michael de Mesa as King vow to take revenge on the family of Bianca and make their lives miserable. A fortune-teller tells Bianca that her kiss will be the only means to wake up a sleeping prince, but she doesn’t know where in Manila does Miguel and his family live.
