They are both in “Wattpad Presents”, but in different weekly episodes. Albie is with Jasmine Curtis Smith in “A House Full of Hunks” while Bret is paired with Eula Caballero in “Trip to Love or Fall in Love”. “I’ve known Bret for a long time,” says Albie. “Even before Andi, kaya mas matimbang pa rin ang friendship namin. Kung sila na nga talaga ni Andi, then it’s not my business na makialam pa. I have moved on and I have other concerns. Bret is my friend and there’s no awkwardness between us. Also, napakabait na tao niyang si Bret. I just hope that he’s happy.”
How come his assignments with TV5 seem few and far between? “Yes, my last was ‘Confessions of a Torpe’ pa. But in all fairness to TV5, may mga inaalok naman silang projects sa’kin, kaya lang I have to prioritize my schooling and had to turn them down. I am already a business management junior at Saint Benilde kaya hindi ko puedeng pabayaan. Sayang naman kasi if I’d neglect my studies. Gusto ko talaga siyang tapusin. Dapat kasi matagal na akong naka-graduate pero na-delay ako dahil sa showbiz, so now, I am working double time to complete my course. I’m really thankful with TV5 kasi they’re patient with me at naiintindihan naman nila ang schedule ko. I promise naman sa kanila na kapag tapos na ako, I can work with them full time.”
