BIANCA KING does her first sitcom ever in TV5’s “Mac & Chiz” as the woman who catches the fancy of twin brothers Derek Ramsay and Empoy Marquez. “It’s my first time to do comedy and I’m really having fun,” says Bianca who’s now managed by Ronnie and Ida Henares. “Masaya lagi sa taping. It’s my first time to work with regular cast members Derek, Empoy, John Lapus and Jojo Alejar at maganda lagi ang bonding namin, along with Director Jade Castro.”
They have reason to rejoice as “Mac & Chiz” is the highest rating show among the new programs launched by TV5 recently. “Nakakatawa naman talaga kasi ang show. I’m really thankful to TV5 for giving me this show kasi I’ve been doing teleseryes for so long na iyak ako ng iyak. It’s about time I try a new aspect of my craft and I’m learning a lot from the comedians I’m working with. In real life, I have a comedic side naman and my friends laugh sa mga hirit kong nakakatawa.”
Aside from “Mac & Chiz”, there’s another offer for a hosting chore. “Sana matuloy. But aside from this, I’m busy with my businesses now. I have a yoga studio in Rockwell called Beyond and I have a small restaurant on Morato Avenue in QC, Runner’s Kitchen.”
Her lovelife with non-showbiz BF Julio Villafuerte seems pretty peaceful compared to when she had an actor BF. “Yes, two years na kami. It’s better pala to have someone who’s not in showbiz kasi mas grounded sa reality. I’m learning so much from him about life, mas lumawak ang pag-iisip ko and I became more comfortable with myself.”
But they’re not in a hurry to face the altar. Her more immediate concern now is convincing her parents, who are based in snowy Edmonton, Canada, to come home. “I want to ask my dad to just help me manage my businesses here,” she says. “Sana pumayag siya.”
