Dingdong Dantes Excited To Play The Role Of A Priest For The First Time In 'Pare Koy'

DINGDONG DANTES will be back in a primetime soap. “Pari ‘Koy”, starting this March. He says at the story con last Friday that he’s thrilled because his role, that of a priest, is very different and challenging from anything he has done before. “I’m very excited and very energized to go back to work with this project dahil its story is something na magbibigay inspirasyon sa viewers,” he adds.

It will be the Kapuso Primetime King’s first time to portray an alagad ng Diyos as Father Kokoy. “Si Kokoy, lumaki sa isang magandang pamilya at pinili niya ang landas ng pagsisilbi sa simbahan. Maa-assign siya sa isang community kunsaan masusubukan ang kanyang kakayahan at pasencia dahil iba’t ibang problema ng mga taong nakapaligid sa kanya. Bilang mga Pilipino, we take our faith seriously kaya naman malapit talaga sa puso ko ang role ko rito.”

“Pari ‘Koy” is will be directed by Maryo J. Delos Reyes, who just gave us the inspirational hit, “Nino”. Direk Maryo and Dingdong first collaborated in the primetime series, “Pahiram ng Sandali.” Also in the cast of “Pare ‘Koy” are Gabby Eigenmann, Sunshine Dizon, Chanda Romero, Jeric Gonzales, Carlo Gonzales, JC Tiuseco, Rap Fernandez, Luz Valdez, Dexter Doria, Hiro Peralta, Jojit Lorenzo, Lindt Johnston, Jhiz Deocareza, and Jillian Ward.
