MIKAEL DAEZ says he enjoyed very much being a part of “Lihim ni Annasandra” and feels sad that it will have its conclusion this Friday. “I will miss the people I work with in the show dahil almost half a year din kaming magkasama,” he says. “Unang-una na si Andrea Torres who has become a really dear friend, then sina Pancho Magno, Rochelle Pangilinan, Cris Villonco and the rest. Kasi halos twenty-four hours a day kaming nagtatrabaho pag may taping. And I’ve been so lucky and blessed na napakabait at napakadaling makisama ng mga nakakatrabaho ko. It’s really a joy to work with them. Dito ko rin na-realize na mahal ko na talaga ang craft ko as an ako. Nung first year ko kasi, hindi pa ako sure kung nagugustuhan ko. But now, I can say I really love acting at I want to excel in it. As ‘Annasandra’ ends this week, find out what will happen to me and Andrea, and to all the people who are trying their best to keep us apart. Malalaman na rin kung mawawala na ba ang sumpa kay Andrea sa pagiging awok.”
There’s talk that his next project is a new reboot of “Marimar” and he’ll be paired with his real life GF, Megan Young. “Like you said, it’s all talk. Nothing official. I don’t think Megan is allowed to work yet. May contract pa rin yata siya sa Miss World.”
Miguel also celebrated his birthday recently and as an ambassador of the Save the Children movement, he and Kylie Padilla participated in the storytelling program for the children of Pag-asa Elementary School in Caloocan City. About 70 kids, aged seven to nine, cheered and participated as the Kapuso stars gave life to the books that inspired and educated them.
“It’s nice seeing them smile because of what you do for them. It’s a simple thing for us, yung mag-act ng konti or magbasa sa kanila, pero it’s a big deal dahil nakikita mo yung effect ng ginagawa mo sa mga batang ito,” says Mikael.
The event also had a feeding program that warmed not only the hearts but also the tummies of the children.
