Dingdong Dantes On John Lloyd Cruz' Getting A Movie Meant For Him And On Karylle Hinting He's A Two-Timer

DINGDONG DANTES is very thankful for his new soap with GMA-7, “Pari Koy”, where he plays a young priest named Father Kokoy. “It’s exciting and very challenging for me kasi first time ko gumanap sa role ng pari,” he says. “I’m thankful to Direk Maryo de los Reyes dahil he guides me well on the right interpretation of Fr. Kokoy, isang alagad ng Diyos na very cool, very unconventional in his ways of attracting people para mas mapalapit sila kay Lord.”

How does he feel that the film project he really wants to do, “Fonzi”, was given to John Lloyd Cruz by Direk Erik Matti, who previously helmed him in the two “Aswang Chronicles” movies he did. “I really don’t know what happened but basta sa ngayon, I feel very blessed doing an inspirational project like ‘Pari Koy’. You have to learn how to let go. Iniisip ko na lang na siguro, it’s not really meant for me and God really prefers na gawin ko itong ‘Pari Koy’ which is a very significant project as it helps in spreading faith in Him. So I’m happy where I am right now and move on na lang tayo.”

How about the recent issue on her ex-GF Karylle saying “naagawan siya ng boyfriend who’s a two-timer.” “Hindi naman binanggit ang pangalan ko so I don’t want to assume na ako yun. I don’t think it’d be nice for me to react to a statement that’s not clear, kaya sana, huwag nang palakihin. Basta ako, I’m now happily married and I will just pray for them.”
