Gabbi Garcia, GMA-7's New Teen Actress To Watch Out For In Two New Shows, 'Instadad' & 'Let The Love Begin'

GABBI GARCIA is one of the young actresses given a good break by GMA-7 in “InstaDad” that starts airing in April. So how did she get into GMA? “Nag-audition po ako, walk in lang, swerte namang nakuha agad,” she says. “Isinali po ako agad sa ‘My Destiny’ as the sister of Sid Lucero at kapareha ni Ruru Madrid. I feel so lucky dahil puro mababait silang nakasama ko doon. Alam nilang total newcomer ako so tinulungan nila ako.”

Her full name is Gabrielle Louise Lopez, but she’s not using it. “Baka mapagkamalan po akong anak ni Gabby Lopez ng ABS-CBN, wala naman kaming relasyon sa kanila.” She’s now 16 years old and stands 5’6”. Some people are urging her to join Bb. Pilipinas. “Siguro magtatapos muna po ako ng pag-aaral. This month, graduating ako ng high school sa St. Paul’s Pasig, kunsaan classmate ko si Julia Barretto kaya I was there noong birthday niya. Gusto ko munang kumuha ng pagpa-pilot sa flight school ng PAL then kapag nakumpleto ko yung flying hours ko, I will take up a four-year college course. I want to work in an airline kasi my mom is a flight attendant.” She’s in the cast of two new shows. She’s one of the three daughters of Gabby Eigenmann in “InstaDad” where she has no love interest and she’s paired anew with Ruru Madrid in “Let the Love Begin”, a TV remake of a hit movie made by Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin before. Both are scheduled to air in April yet.

Is she really on with Ruru? “No. We’re very good friends. Siya ang date ko sa graduation ball ko pero magkaibigan lang talaga kami.”
