One of his future plans is to develop his native Bohol as a center of art and culture. He has a farm there where he regularly hies off to renew his soul and creative juices. "I plan to eventually to put up an art barn for Visayan artists as a venue para sa kanilang artworks. I feel na yung artists na nasa mga nasa probinsya sa Kabisayaan who don’t have the chance to come over to Manila should be given the chance to have their own place where they can shine, parang yung ginawang art gallery ni BenCab sa Baguio which has become an art haven for the artists up north at dinarayo talaga roon ngayon maging ng mga turista from Manila.”
This is indeed a noble endeavor and we hope other established artists will help Direk Maryo J. in his goal to put up a regular artists in the Visayas. Meantime, Direk Maryo is happy that "Pari 'Koy' is gaining more viewers and supporters who watch each new episode regularly.
