Andre Paras: A Certified Male Virgin At 19 & Proud Of It

ANDRE PARAS has just returned from visiting his brother Kobe in the U.S. when he attended the presscon of his new movie, “Your Place or Mine”, with Andi Eigenmann and Bret Jackson. So how’s Kobe doing with his basketball training in UCLA?

“He’s good,” he says. “Nakakabitin lang kasi bale three days lang kami nagkasama sa Los Angeles. Na-starstruck nga ako sa brother ko kasi kilala na siya roon. I really admire him and I’m impressed kasi it’s hard ‘yung ginagawa niya. He’s away from us, our parents at mga kapatid namin kaya nakakalungkot din. Tapos, he’s balancing his basketball and studies. At kahit wala siyang inspirasyon there, he has time to study and nasa honor roll pa siya. I can see na he’s really doing well kaya I’m so proud of him. I hope makapasok talaga siya sa NBA, pero mahirap pa ang pagdadaanan niya kasi iba talaga ang training doon.”

While Kobe is focusing on basketball, he’s now full time in showbiz. For over a year now, he’s part of the hit afternoon soap, “The Half Sisters”, opposite Barbie Forteza. And now, he also has a new movie, “Your Place or Mine”, where he gets to be directed by Joel Lamangan. “I was nervous nung umpisa kasi I was told mahigpit siya at naninigaw. But he was very nice. Everything went well with us nina Andi and Bret. The movie is a sexy rom-com and I’m sure a lot of young people will enjoy watching it kasi very cool ang story about a couple who had a one night stand and how it’s presented on screen.”

At 19, Andre says he has yet to experience having a one night stand. He remains to be a male virgin and proud of it as he has never had a girlfriend yet. Viva is also all set to give him his own launching movie opposite Yassi Pressman.
