“May three-year contract ako before sa GMA but they didn’t renew it, buti na nga lang, nagka-offer ako from TV5,” he says. “Ang first project ko sa kanila was ‘Pretty Little Liars’, but hindi natuloy yun. Napasama ako sa ‘Trenderas’, then sa TV movie na ‘More than Words’ with Sarah Lahbati and now, thankful akong tuloy-tuloy ako sa ‘Wattpad Presents’ na iba-iba rin ang kapareha ko. Not only that, ginawa na rin nila akong regular sa ‘Tropa Mo Ko Unli’ with Ogie Alcasid, so I can say na happy ako being with the Happy Network,” he says.
So how is it working with a first timer like Toni Aquino in “Lala Laitera”? “Masaya, kasi hindi lang siya ang kasama ko rito but also her mom, Ruby Rodriguez. Noong unang eksena namin, naiilang ako kasi I was supposed to kiss and hug Toni. E, nandun ang mother niya, so siempre, nahihiya ako. But si Ate Ruby, panay patawa siya, okay lang sa kanyang gawin namin kung anong hinihingi sa script. So after that, okay na kami. What’s nice about Toni is gusto niya yung ginagawa niya and she’s ready to learn. Mahal niya ang trabaho niya at kahit mag-uumaga na, grabe energy niya, ganado pa rin. Madali siyang pakisamahan and for a newcomer, magaling na siyang umarte. Hindi naman surprising kasi she has tried acting in theatre daw before.”
He’s currently loveless at the moment. His last girlfriend was GMA’s Kris Bernal. What can he say about the news that Kris underwent breast augmentation that she displayed in her photos in social media? “I don’t know, hindi ko pa nakita, e. Wala na kami, but whatever she wants to do for her career, all I can say is I wish her well.Good luck.”
