Carla Abellana's Reaction To Bashers Who Say She Should Not Have Joined The Cast Of 'Pari 'Koy'

CARLA ABELLANA joins “Pari ‘Koy” as Michelle, the ex-girlfriend of Dingdong Dantes who has become a priest, Fr. Kokoy, and the current girlfriend of Gabby Eigenmann as Jude, the corrupt barangay captain of Barangay Pinagpala. What can she say that some netizens are against her joining the show? “Well, you cannot please everybody,” she says. “Marami rin namang may gusto na isinama ako sa ‘Pari ‘Koy’. Personally, I like my role kasi teacher ako ng anak ni Gabby na si Joshua, who has leukemia. Sa pagpasok ko show, balikbayan ako from the States. Sa akin makikita na mabait si Gabby, very sweet, but what I don’t know is that marami siyang ginagawang corrupt activities. I’m also happy to be reunited with Director Maryo de los Reyes who’s my very first director when I was launched in ‘Rosalinda’. After six years, ngayon lang kami nagkasama uli.”

How’s it working with Gabby who’s the cousin of her ex, Geoff Eigenmann? “Wala kaming problema. Okay naman ako with them, even with his brother, Sid Lucero na nakatrabaho ko rin sa ‘My Destiny’. “
How about working with Geoff’s mom, Gina Alajar? “No problem. Okay lang sa’kin yun. Ang galing niyang director, I’d really like to experience working with her.”

And what can she say that some folks allege that “Karelasyon” is better off without her as the host? “Ganun din. You can’t please everyone. Actually, mahirap ang papel ko roon as host dahil hindi ako basta nagpe-present ng story. I’m shown reacting to what’s happening, I frown, I show disapproval, para akong devil’s advocate. But magaganda yung next stories namin, like kahapon, featured si Valerie Concepcion as asawang nalosyang kaya nagtaksil ang mister niyang si Marco Alcaraz. Next Saturday, we have Kris Bernal as a babymaker, with Rocco Nacino. Then Jaclyn Jose and Kris Martinez, tungkol sa isang mama’s boy.” So is it true she and Tom Rodriguez are now on? “No, it’s not. Hindi nga kami nagkikita dahil busy rin siya sa dami ng out of town rackets niya. Wala akong boyfriend at gusto ko, maging sure muna ako before I commit again kasi, otherwise, waste of time lang.”

Any other suitors? “None. Kasi laging nasusulat na kami na ni Tom, kaya akala nila, taken na ako, which is not true. So paki-clarify namang hindi totoo yun.”

Aside from “Pari ‘Koy”, “Karelasyon” and “Ismol Family”, she’s about to start a new movie with Regal, “NBSB, No Boyfriend Since Birth”, to be directed by Joey Reyes. She’s also busy with her endorsements. “All in all, I have ten endorsements now. Latest ang Sun Cellular and BDO.”
