THIS BLACK SATURDAY, GMA-7 brings back a marathon viewing of all the past episodes of their spiritually relevant faithserye, "Pari 'Koy", starring Dingdong Dantes as a dedicated young priest who sincerely wants to serve the Lord and His flock. Entitled "Pari 'Koy: Ang Pagdating ng Blessing", it starts at the rural town of San Agustin in which Dingdong has been a priest for five years and has endeared himself to his parishioners.
He is suddenly uprooted when he is re-assigned to a much poorer area in the city, Barangay Pinagpala, where he meets new characters like Sunshine Cruz, a battered wife, and her daughter, Jillian Ward; the poor orphan Pinggoy played by David Remo; the Tres Marias who help and oppose him at the same time played by Chanda Romero, Luz Valdes and Dexter Doria; and the corrupt barangay chairman played by Gabby Eigenmann.
Acclaimed by members of the clergy for its honest portrayal of a young priest serving in today's modern world, the special Throwback Screening of "Pari 'Koy" will be shown today starting 11:30 AM on GMA-7 as part of its special Holy Week presentation.
