Kristoffer Martin On The Possibility Of Reconciling With Joyce Ching Now That They're Paired Anew In 'Healing Hearts'

KRISTOFFER MARTIN is so glad that after last year’s “Paraiso Ko’y Ikaw”, he finally has a new project, “Healing Hearts”, which he reunites him with ex-GF and ex-ka love team, Joyce Ching. Fans of their Kris-Joy love team have already expressed in social media that they’re happy to see them together again on screen.

“I play the role of Jay, a woman hater after he got broken hearted,” he says. “Nasaktan ako when Krystal Reyes dumped me so I’m afraid to love again.”

Can he relate with that kind of role? “In the sense na we’re both sensitive persons, yes. Pareho kaming hindi agad makontrol ang aming emotions at sagad kung magmahal. But hindi naman ako woman-hater in real life.”

How is it working anew with ex-GF Joyce Ching? Their fans are hoping they’d reconcile. “I’m just glad na si Joyce ang kapareha ko kasi very comfortable na kami talaga sa isa’t isa. Mas solid na ang relationship namin ngayon, ibang level na as good friends, but walang balikang magaganap kasi iba na ang priorities namin. We’ve both resumed our college studies. She’s taking up filmmaking and ako naman, I’m taking up entrepreneurship in San Beda. So work and studies ang focus namin ngayon, hindi lovelife. Pareho rin kaming 20 na, so mas mature na kami.”

So does that mean he didn’t have any girlfriend since they broke up? “Nagkaroon naman. In school. Pero hindi nagtagal. More of a fling lang. Wala rin kasing time dahil very busy nga sa trabaho at sa studies.”
In “Healing Hearts”, she falls for Joyce, a housemaid and his stepmom, Angelika de la Cruz, is against it. “It’s nice to work with Ate Angelika kasi very caring siya and she guides us sa mga eksena namin. Kasama rin namin dito sina Mickey Ferriols as Joyce’s long lost mom na nabilanggo, Tina Paner as the woman who adopted Joyce pero naiwala siya, Maureen Larrazabal as Joyce’s abusive boss, Ken Chan as my best friend and Dominic Roco as my rival kay Joyce. This will start airing on May 11 to replace ‘Kailan Ba Tama ang Mali’ on GMA’s Afternoon Prime.”
