We’re honestly happy for Rhian. We sincerely hope this project will truly revive her then budding showbiz career which lost its luster after her messy relationship with DJ Mo. She was very promising when she was introduced by GMA in “Captain Barbell” and was already on the verge of stardom then, playing leads in soaps like “La Lola”, “Stairway to Heaven” and “Ilumina” and in films like “Valentine Girl” and “Kontrabida Girl”, then the DJ Mo scandal came and her career took a nosedive. Which is a pity since she doesn’t only look like a “true artista” with oozing star quality but she can also act well.
She really needs another great project like “Rich Man’s Daughter” to resuscitate her slumbering career and give it the big boost it so deserves. So Marian’s loss is Rhian’s gain. Our best wishes! We just hope her current Chinese car race boyfriend will not pose any hindrance or detriment in her attempt to give her career a second wind.
Rhian says she’s really so excited to replace Marian. "I am so grateful to GMA sa tiwalang ibinigay nila sa akin na gampanan ang role ni Jade sa ‘The Rich Man's Daughter’,” she says. “I look forward to the challenge of portraying the character and I promise to give my very best para magampanan ko ito ng tama.”
Supporting her are Glaiza de Castro as her lesbian lover, Luis Alandy, Katrina Halili, Mike Tan, Chynna Ortaleza, Sheena Halili, Pauleen Luna, Paolo Contis, TJ Trinidad, Charee Pineda, Stephanie Sol with Al Tantay, Glydel Mercado, Tony Mabesa, Eva Darren and Ms. Gloria Romero, under the direction of Dominic Zapata ad set to premiere this May on GMA Telebabad.
