“Normal naman yung pagtapatin ang mga artista, di ba?” she says. “They also said that nung ipareha si Ritz Azul kay Derek Ramsay. Basta sa akin, wala naman akong dapat na ika-insecure. Ang binebenta sa ‘Baker King’, yung love team nila ni Mark Neumann. E, ako, wala naman akong regular ka-love team. Also, naranasan ko na rin namang mabigyan ng TV5 ng sarili kong shows like ‘Cassandra’, ‘Third Eye’ and ‘One for the Boys’. Ngayon naman, regular ako sa ‘Wattpad Presents’. My latest story is ‘Maid for Korean Boys’, with Carl Guevarra and Steven Silva. Bale panlimang episode ko na ito sa ‘Wattpad’ and I think ako pa lang ang nabigyan ng five times to star dito.”
“Maid for Korean Boys” will start airing tonight until Friday, June 5. “I’m so happy to be doing different stories in ‘Wattpad Presents’ dahil it helps hone my acting skills. Iba-ibang klase ng roles ang ginagampanan ko at iba-iba rin ang stories so it really helps train me as an actress.”
So there’s really no rivalry between her and Shaira Mae? “Wala talaga. O maski sa iba pang TV5 actresses, like Jasmine Curtis Smith and Sophie Albert. We’re all good friends working for the good of the company. Shaira is actually one of my closest friends in the industry and even Edgar Allan Guzman, her boyfriend is also a good friend. We all get along very well so kung may competition man sa amin within the network, it’s friendly competition. Walang dahilan to feel insecure. Hindi rin naman ako pinababayaan ng TV5, so bakit ako mai-insecure? I’m really happy for her and Mark and I wish mag-rate sana lagi nang mataas ang ‘Baker King’.”
What’s her role in “Maid for Korean Boys”? “I’m Elaine, ipinagkasundo ng dad ko sa isang business partner niya, so nagrebelde ako at lumayas. Napasok naman ako as maid sa mga Koreano and that’s where I meet Carl and Steven, na pareho ko nang nakatrabaho. Si Carl in ‘Almost a Cinderella’ and si Steven in ‘Lady in Disguise’. Pareho ko silang kasundo and it’s really nice to work with them again.”
