Matteo Guidicelli Turns Action Star In 'Tupang Ligaw', Talks About Sarah Geronimo's Kissing Scene With Piolo Pascual

MATTEO GUIDICELLI was not able to show up at the first story of “Tupang Ligaw” as he was busy taping “Inday Bote”. Only his co-stars Bangs Garcia and Rico Barrera made it then, along with Paolo Contis who came so early he was the first one interviewed by the press. Producer Dennis Evangelista of BG Productions had to schedule a special meeting with Matteo and also with Paolo.

Matteo is excited to play an action role in “Tupang Ligaw”, as a man looking for his missing younger brother in a no man’s land ruled by the villain, El Dibalo, played by Paolo. Writer-director Rod Santiago says he is very pleased that the lead role went to Matteo since he knows him as a good actor after Matteo played the leading man in his novel turned hit teleserye, “Agua Bendita”. “Bagay talagang action star si Matteo dahil very athletic siya,” says Direk Rod. “Kayang-kaya niyang gawin lahat ng stunts niya sa movie on his own.”

Matteo know he is not the first choice for the role as it was offered before to Xian Lim, who begged off as he’s doing a movie with Gov. Vilma Santos and Angel Locsin for Star Cinema. “I’m very happy sa’kin napunta ang project and I promise to do my best in my role,” he says.

His girlfriend, Sarah Geronimo, is also doing a movie, “Breakup Playlist”, with Piolo Pascual. It’s said Sarah will have kissing scenes with Piolo in the movie. How does he feel about this? “It’s fine with me. She’s an actress and she has to do what her role requires. It’s part of her growth as an actress.”
