Paolo Contis On The Coming Wedding Of His Former GF Isabel Oli To John Prats

PAOLO CONTIS is happy that after playing Yasmien Kurdi’s lover-tormentor in “Yagit” on Afternoon Prime, he now plays a mysterious character in the new GMA primetime series, “The Rich Man’s Daughter”. He plays Anton Maceda, a wealthy but irresponsible businessman who’s wooing Rhian Ramos as Jade Tanchingco, but will turn out later to be the abusive former husband of Glaiza de Castro as Althea Guevarra, Rhian’s lesbian lover. “Suwerte ko nga, hindi ako nababakante sa GMA,” he says. “Tuloy-tuloy lang ang assignments ko.”

He and Isabel Oli were on for quite a long time. What can he say now that she is about to get married to John Prats? “Well, I’m happy for them and I really wish them the best,” he says.

If invited, would he go to the wedding? “Naku, moment nila yun. Huwag na nating guluhin pa.”
Paolo is also on the big screen with the movie “Tupang Ligaw”, written and directed by Rod Santiago. He will be playing the vicious villain called El Diablo, the nemesis of the leading character played by Matteo Guidicelli, who’s a Filipino-Italian like him.
