QC Mayor Herbert Bautista Enjoys Acting In Movies Once Again, First With Maricel Soriano Then With Kris Aquino

QC MAYOR HERBERT BAUTISTA is still shooting his comeback flick, “Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin”, where he’s paired for the first time in the episode that spoofs horror flicks, “Shake Shaker Shakest”, but he already has a follow up. It’ll pair him with ex-GF Kris Aquino and also in the cast is Kris’ younger son, Bimby Aquino. Is it a co-production between him and Kris? “No, no, Star Cinema ang producer nito,” he says. “Artista lang kami. We’re supposed to start shooting daw in July and hopefully, by that time, tapos ko na itong ‘Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin’ na produced naman by Viva Entertainment. We’ll play characters close to what we are in real life. I will be a public official and she will be a broadcast journalist naman.”

So how is it acting again? “I’m happy na bumalik ako sa pelikula dahil acting helps relieves you of the stresses of being a public servant. And it’s so nice to work with someone you grew up with. Bata pa lang kami, nagkatrabaho na kami ni Ate Maria in shows like ‘Kaluskos Musmos’, ‘Kuskos Balungos’ and ‘Two Plus Two’. Lahat ng dramang pinagdaanan namin sa kanya-kanyang buhay, alam namin. Nung mga bata pa kami, halos magkakapitbahay kami. Sa Cubao ang family namin at sila, sa may Kamuning. Pati parents namin, magkakaibigan. Kapag may taping sa Broadcast City, nagsasabay kami sa isang taxi lang kasi wala pa kaming sariling sasakyan noon. Sunduan lang kami at haitran papunta at pabalik sa taping kaya matagal na talaga ang pinagsamahan namin. We’ve maintained naman our communication and friendship through the years. I’m really flattered when I was told by Boss Vic na si Ate Maria mismo ang nag-request na makasama ako sa pelikulang ito.”
