She has a new BF, a Chinese guy named Jason Choachuy who’s a car racer and who she met through racing. They’ve been dating since January. “He’s the best gentleman, the best guy I’ve ever met. He’s been giving me advice about racing and he’s really good. I really find car racing so enjoyable. Unlike sa showbiz, you don’t have to your look best when you’re racing. It can be scary and dangerous but it’s so much fun.”
She’s happy to replace Marian Rivera in “The Rich Man’s Daughter”. “I was really shocked when I was informed that I was chosen to take her place. Siempre kinabahan ako kasi the role of Jade Tanchingco is not at all easy. Sabi ko, kaya ko ba ito? I can feel the pressure. But I told myself ibinigay ito sa’kin without me asking for it, so this is a big blessing and I just have to put my trust in God that I can do it. It’s also an honor and the first thing I did is to text Marian, out of my respect for her, and I congratulated her dahil magiging mom na siya. I also thanked her na ako ang napiling kapalit niya. She texted me back saying malapit sa puso niya ang show at alagaan ko raw. I promised her I will do my best. Dahil sa nangyari, I have to postpone a project na poinaghahandaan ko, a website that features wonderful clothes from independent but very talented designers. But dahil naging busy nga ako, I have to put this project on hold for a while.”
She wants to thank her co-stars who warmly accepted her to be part of the show. “They’re all very nice, considering nakapag-tape na sila ng maraming scenes with Marian and we have to do them all over again, sina Glaiza de Castro, Katrina Halili, Chynna Ortaleza, Luis Alandy, Tita Gloria Romero, Al Tantay, and all the rest, including Direk Dominic Zapata. Gusto kong magpasalamat sa kanila for welcoming me warmly.”
