    TV5 News Chief Luchi Cruz Valdes Deserves To Win KBP Broadcaster Of The Year Award

    CONGRATULATIONS to News5 chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes for winning the Ka Doroy Valencia Broadcaster of the Year Award at the recently held 23rd Golden Dove Awards of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP). A recipient of various local and international awards in her impressive career as a broadcast journalist, Cruz-Valdes also took home the Best Newscaster award for TV5’s primetime newscast “Aksyon”.

    It’s her second time to bag the Broadcaster of the Year plum as she also won it in the KBP Golden Dove Awards of 2001. TV5 also won the awards for Best Newscast for its late evening newscast “Aksyon Tonite”, Best Documentary Program for “Yaman ng Bayan: Lupa”, Best Special Program for “Diskargado”, Best Actor for Comedy Program for Ogie Alcasid, and Best Public Service Program Host for its resident legal analyst and radio host Atty. Mel Sta. Maria. They’re all very deserving.
