CONGRATULATIONS to Ogie Alcasid and Janno Gibbs for the successful pilot of their Sunday lunchtime show on TV5, "Happy Truck ng Bayan". Directed by GB Sampedro, everyone is energized to make the initial telecast a huge success with the viewers, including co-hosts Derek Ramsay, Gelli de Belen, Mariel Rodriguez, Jasmine Curtis Smith and all the young stars working with TV5 today led by Mark Neumann of their hit primetime soap, "Baker King". It's very apparent they're all happy to be part of the show and they want all the viewers to also be happy since they're with the Happy Network.
The concept of the show spells all the difference. The audience does not have to go to any studio because it is the robotic truck of TV5 who goes to their place to stage the show right on their chosen location. It was Gagalangin, Tondo that was their choice for their premiere telecast and the Tondo people really had a grand time in joining all the fun games that gave away big cash prizes.
Even viewers who are just watching on their TV sets can join the game through their Facebook fan page. The OJ segment of Ogie and Janno where they roast their co-hosts using songs whose lyrics they've changed is a lot of fun. They used to do it before on "SOP".
Another advantage is that "Happy Truck ng Bayan" comes on the air much earlier than their rival shows as they start at 11 AM, giving them a good head start. Congratulations to Ms. Wilma Galvante for this wonderful project of hers and here's hoping they'll attract more viewers on Sunday noon.
