TV5 Launches New Shows: 'Dare The Younghusbands' On Saturday, 'Happy Truck Ng Bayan' On Sunday

THIS AFTERNOON at 2:30 PM, TV5 presents football superstars Phil and James Younghusband in a new light as the brothers take on sports challenges in their weekly reality show, "Dare the Younghusbands", a hilarious, informative and action-packed show. Phil and James challenge some of the country’s top athletes with hopes of beating them at their own sport, proving that they are more than football players but versatile, all around sportsmen who also try Basketball, Volleyball, Billiards, and Jiu Jitsu. Will Phil and James triumph and overcome every sports challenge in their new show? "Dare the Younghusbands" airs on TV5 at 2:30pm on June 13 and June 27 and at 2pm every Saturday thereon.

And starting tomorrow, see Kapatid singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid reunited with TV5’s newest Kapatid and his long-time friend Janno Gibbs to whom he gives a warm welcome to the Happy Network. Ogie and Janno will be hosting TV5’s first-of-its-kind game and musical variety show, Happy Truck Ng Bayan, which features an innovative hydraulic truck that transforms into a stage. The program travels to different barangays in the country to spread happiness and cheer. Happy Truck Ng Bayan premieres this Sunday, June 14 at 11:00AM on TV5.

Meanwhile, TV5 regrets it won't be able to air the Women's Volleyball match between the Philippines and Indonesia because the official Singapore 28th SeaGames broadcaster failed to cover the events. All other participating countries were also unable to broadcast their respective games during this period. Instead, TV5 will air the delayed telecast of the Philippines vs. Malaysia Men's Volleyball Match on Aksyon TV at 7 PM.
