AFTER 'HAPPY TRUCK NG BAYAN' which airs on Sundays, TV5 is introducing more new shows: "LolaBasyang.com", "ParangNormal Activity" and the sitcom "Misterless Misis" with Lorna Tolentino and Ruffa Gutierrez. "LolaBasyang.com" and "ParangNormal Activity" are both produced by the Ideafirst Company of Directors Jun Lana and Perci Intalan. Perci is directing "LolaBasyang" which stars Boots Anson Roa in the title role and he alternates with Jun in helming the various episodes of "ParangNormal" which stars ABS-CBN talents Ella Cruz as Charlie (last seen as the unwed mom Vanessa in "Bagito"), Ryle Paolo Santiago as Mackoy (son of Sherilyn Tan and Junjun Santiago who has appeared in teleseryes like "Mirabella" and "Bagito") and Andrei Garcia as Red (former child star of "Going Bulilit".) The fourth actor in the show is Shaun Salvador as Third, who's from GMA-7. Perci held auditions for the various roles. He's thankful to ABS-CBN for lending their stars to them.
"ParangNormal Activity" is about four friends who put up a Paranormal Club in their school, without knowing that one of them, Ella, is actually a ghost. "Comedy-horror ang treatment namin dito," says Perci, who directed the award-winning "Dementia" that will soon be shown in full on TV5. "The first episode is about a ghost who appears in pictures every time the students take selfie photos, making them catatonic. The second episode is about a manananggal, played by Regine Angeles, who makes one of the mean girls in school, played by Kiray Celis, a manananggirl. The third episode is about a ouija board with Lou Veloso and BJ Corpuz as special guests. Other cast members are Rubirubi as the school librarian, Carl Guevarra as a teacher, Ryan Yllana as Paolo's uncle, Mystica as Andrei's mom, and Mosang and Joaqui Tupas as the parents of Shaun. Aside from Kiray, another mean girl is Eunice Lagusad."
