Ogie Alcasid Busy Working With Cagers In TV5's 'No Harm No Foul' And With Linggo Ng Musikang Pilipino At The End Of July

OGIE ALCASID is having a great time acting with basketball players Gary David, Beau Belga, Willie Miller and Kiefer Ravena in "No Harm No Foul" that starts airing this Sunday night, July 5, 8 PM, on TV5. "Ako ang coach nila rito named Jawo and the irony of it is mas matangkad silang lahat kaysa sa akin," says Ogie. So how is it working with the cagers who are acting for the first time? "They might not be professional actors but mahusay sila. They have discipline at magaling ang comic timing nila. I really enjoyed working with them."

Ogie is also proud as president of OPM (Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-aawit) after Pres. Noynoy Aquino signed Proclamation No. 933 declaring the last week of July as the Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino that will definitely boost Original Pilipino Music. From July 25-31 this year, Filipino talents will elevate local music through street performances, OPM Music Marathon, playing of OPM songs on radio and TV and in leading malls, restaurants and bars and a series of shows that will culminate in a grand concert, the Pinoy Music Festival at the Ayala Triangle Gardens.

On July 19, join the Mission EQ255 Campaign Run that aims to implement Executive Order 255 requiring radio stations to broadcast a minium of four OPM songs every hour. This will be held at the UP Diliman Oval. During the Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino, there will also be a battle of the bars called "#PalakasinAngBosesngOPMSession" where top OPM artists will have a series of live performances and showcases at the Saguijo Bar, 12 Monkeys, My Brother's Moustache, Strumms, Route 196, 19th East and Conspiracy Bar. The winning showcase will win P100,000 and a plaque of appreciation from OPM.

Also, don't miss the exhibition called "My OPM Playlist" that will feature the playlists of prominent Filipinos from various sectors and professions which will be held at the Bonifacio High Street Amphitheatre from July 25-31. Street performers will be going around Metro-Manila from July 25-30 between 6 to 8 PM to entertain the public. The grand concert.
