YASMIEN KURDI says that playing the role of Dolores in the long-running "Yagit" has affected her even in real life. "Sobrang nadadala ko yung character," she says. So there are times I tell myself, teka, teka, let's take a break. I have to separate myself from her at iniiwanan ko muna siya sa isang tabi."
They all feel sad that "Yagit" will have its conclusion this week. "Yes, matatapos na kami on Friday after almost one year on the air. Tiyak na iyakan sa last taping day namin on Wednesday dahil magpapaalaman na kami at hindi na kami magkikita regularly sa set like we've gotten used to do. The serial ends na masaya kaming lahat as we had a good successful run. Like ako, laging naka-yellow, si LJ Reyes, naka-red, si Raquel Villavicencio as Donya Claudia, naka-violet, etc. So we'll end na marami kaming good memories about the show and I like to thank all the stars, staff who I got to work with and all the viewers who supported us."
Her daughter Ayesha Zara is now two years old. When does she and her husband Rey Soldevilla intend to have a second baby? "As of now, wala kaming plano. Ang hirap kasi, kahapon lang kami nagkayaya. Nakuha namin from Zamboanga kasi tagaroon ang husband ko. We'll wait munang lumaki-laki si Ayesha bago namin sundan."
Yasmien is one of two local actresses who has a very good looking non-swhobiz husband. Another one is Sunshine Dizon, whose hubby is Timothy Tan. Both Rey and Timothy can give some actors a run for their money if they'd wish to join showbiz also.
