Zsa Zsa Padilla's New Album, 'Beginnings', Perfect For Her As She Starts A New Chapter In Her Life

ZSA ZSA PADILLA launches her new album with PolyEast, "Beginnings", which is also the title of her concert at Newport Theatre at Resorts World on July 31, Friday, 8 PM. Her guests are Martin Nievera and daughter Karylle. Why "Beginnings" as the title of her new album and concert? "Simply because I'm starting a new chapter in my life," she says. "Bagay kasi I haven't done concert for three or four years and as you know, I was grieving after Dolphy left. Mahirap yung mamatayan ka ng mahal mo kasi there's a part of you waiting for him to come back. Now, I'm healing with the help of someone new, so never stop believing in the power of second chances."

So how is she now? "My heart is happy, good and contented." Is it true she and BF Congrad Onglao will face the altar soon? "No. Nasulat pa ngang nagpakasal na raw kami abroad, also not true. If ever pakakasal kami, we'll announce it. But it'll be a very simple celebration, with only family and very close friends to be invited. I'll just wear a simple dress."

Is she really selling their house in Marina Bay and other properties left behind by Dolphy? "No. I'm living with my boyfriend now but Zia and Nicole still live there. It's part of my healing na umalis ako roon. Zia was able to fix it the way she wants to. She grew up in that house so it's dear to her. We haven't sold any properties of Dolphy na iniwan sa'min nina Zia at Nicole, like yung lupa niya sa Batangas and in Baguio. They're not for sale."

Zsa Zsa just gave a touching performance as Dennis Trillo's blind mom in "You're Still the One". She'll next be seen in a new Kapamilya teleserye and she's excited as it will be shot partly in New York for two weeks. Her "Beginnings" album of revivals is her third with PolyEast. The first two, "Unchanging Love" and "Palagi", are both best selling Gold albums. The carrier single of "Beginnings" is a revival of the 70s song, "Just a Love Song", and Zsa Zsa gives a touching soulful rendition that makes it all her own.

She herself handpicked the ten songs in the album, which is great for easy listening and includes "More Today than Yesterday", "How Deep is Your Love", "Rainy Days and Mondays", "I Just Want to be Your Everything", "If You Leave Me Now", "Along Again Naturally", "One Hello", and "I Got Caught Dancing Again". It's now available for only P300 in record stores and via downloads on iTunes, SpinnrPh and Deezer.
