COLEEN GARCIA does sexy love scenes with Derek Ramsay in her first starring role, “Ex With Benefits”. Didn’t her real life BF Billy Crawford get jealous? “Billy started in showbiz as a child actor kaya more than 20 years na siya in the business,” she says. “Ako, I’ve been here for only a couple of years kaya he understands I need some space to grow as an artist. Didn’t she hesitate to do the love scenes? “I just trusted Direk Gino Santos. Very collaborative siya kasi he tells us, ganito ang blocking nyo, what will you do? Kasi he wants you to be comfortable when you do the scene para wala nang take 2. At kami ni Derek, ginalingan na namin agad kaya puro take 1 lang ang love scenes namin.”

In the story, Coleen plays Arki, who’s 28 years old when the story starts. “Yes, pinatanda ang age ko kasi in real life, 24 lang ako. So I had to make adjustments, pati sa boses ko na masyadong mataas it gets whiny, kaya our director, Gino Santos, told me to tone it down. But may scenes kami taken ten years ago when I was 18 at doon, hindi ako nahirapan. Naging on kami ni Derek ten years ago but we broke up without any real closure. Then we meet again after ten years. Doctor na siya and medrep naman ako. Ayun, we both realize na hindi pa kami nakaka-move on from our past relationship. Maganda yung role ko as a woman who’ll give everything mapasaya lang ang mga tao sa paligid niya kahit wala na siyang itira para sa sarili niya. The movie answers the question: May pag-asa bang maging great love ang iyong ex-love?”
