Heart Evangelista On How She Juggles Her Time As An Actress And As Wife Of Sen. Chiz Escudero

HEART EVANGELISTA juggles her time expertly acting on TV as Kristine in the hit GMA primetime soap, “Beautiful Strangers”, and as the wife of Sen. Chiz Escudero. In between, she still finds time to do her favorite hobby, which is painting. “I really feel so complete kasi everything is going well in both my private life and my career,” she says. “Pero somehow, nahihiya ako kay Chiz kasi limited ang dishes na puede kong lutuin. Usually, pasta lang or bread spread and steak. Mas marami pa nga siyang alam na lutuin kaysa akin, like paella and adobo, na favorite ng twins niya.. So I want to enroll in a culinary school para mas marami akong alam na dishes na lulutuin ko for him and the children. Nagpapaturo rin ako sa mommy ko ng alam niyang secret recipes served at our Barrio Fiesta resto.”

Sen. Chiz says he wants to have four kids with Heart but Heart herself wants only two. “Hindi ko kaya ang apat. Tama na yung dalawa lang para matutukan ko talaga at mabigyan ng atensiyon hanggang lumaki sila. Anyway, nandiyan pa naman ang twins so parang apat na rin ang anak namin.”

She’s happy over the great feedback and high ratings that “Beautiful Strangers” is getting. “Kahit saan ako magpunta, people tell me they watch it at alam nila kung ano na ang nangyayari sa story so it’s very encouraging for all us who are part of the show.”

This week in the show, Heart takes pity on Lovi Poe as Joyce who has become a taong grasa. Lovi and her friend, Nar Cabico as the gay Shakira, usually stay near the hospital where Heart works as a doctor. Heart would often give them food. Heart also becomes closer to Rocco Nacino as Noel, the former boyfriend of Lovi who thinks she’s already dead. Rocco even teaches her how to drive. Lovi’s younger brother, Renz Valerio, tries to harm Heart but Lovi saves her. Because of this, Heart feels that she’s now indebted to Lovi and will do her best to help her regain her sanity, without knowing that it’s actually her own father, Christopher de Leon, who was the reason why Lovi became a taong grasa in the first place.
