In the story, Brenda becomes the wife of Zoren Legaspi as Gustavo, who is the father of Megan Young as Marimar, with Alice Dixson as the mother. Was she able to watch the previous versions of “Marimar”? “Only yung kay Thalia, but not the one with Marian Rivera kasi sa abroad kami nakatira noon. But I know maganda ang role ng Brenda. Isa ako sa kaiinisan ng mga tao dahil papahirapan ko rin si Marimar.”
How is it working with Megan Young in the title role? “Ang ganda niya! Actually, na-meet ko na siya before pa siya naging Miss World sa isang birthday party. Nakapagkuwentuhan kami at okay siya. Masarap kausap. Kapapanganak ko lang noon sa fourth child ko and that was four years ago. Now, nagkita kami uli rito sa ‘Marimar’ at ganoon pa rin siya. Kahit naging Miss World na siya, wala pa ring ere. Down to earth. So I really like her. Bagay na bagay sa kanya ang role ng ‘Marimar’ and I have a great feeling na magiging successful ito.”
“Marimar” is now being seen Monday to Friday on GMA-7 after “24 Oras”.
