So why did she accept it when she has played lead role on the big screen in “Menor de Edad” and on TV in “Moon of Desire”? “Okay lang naman yun. In ‘Chain Mail’, I also supported Shy Carlos as her sister. Hindi naman basta contravida yung role ko kasi binigyan nila ng back story ang character kaya nagkaroon ng lalim at mas maiintindihan ng viewers ang ipinaglalaban niya para sa kanya mapunta si Derek.”
She was being built up as a sexy star in “Menor de Edad” and “Moon of Desire”, but it seems her career has been derailed. What happened? “Nagkaroon po ako ng problema so medyo nawala ako sa eksena after ‘Moon of Desire’. Huwag nyo na lang po itanong kung ano yung problema, basta I’m recovering now and ready for more projects. I’m just glad to be a part of a big movie project like ‘Ex With Benefits’. First time ko to work with both Derek and Coleen, and also with our very young director, Gino Santos, and I have a great time with all of them.”
So what can viewers expect from her? “I’m trying to improve myself and I’m more ready sa kung anumang challenges na darating sa career ko. I can feel I can give my best now at makikita nila ang isang Meg Imperial na talagang nagbago sa akin for the better.”
How is it doing a love scene with Derek? “Isa lang yung sa amin. Mas marami sila ni Coleen kasi yun ang hinihingi ng story. Derek is one of the sexiest among our actors today. Kita mo naman ang abs, ang muscles, lalaking-lalaki talaga ang dating niya. But more than, ang bait-bait niyang katrabaho and he makes sure na magiging comfortable ka when doing a scene with him.”
